I took a picture of this Black-eyed Susan bud opening as the sun was setting, and it was such a striking image I had to paint it! Isn’t amazing what light can do as it cascades across an object?

I think you can always look around and see something beautiful to behold. From a young age, I enjoyed drawing and painting so being self taught and then going a step further, I worked to receive an Associate's Degree in Art. But I really think that the artistic expression comes from within no matter how much training you have. When you look at an artists works, there always seems to be a pattern or style of some kind....
