Description
Stained glass section of Heritage Hall, in acrylic on canvas, painted by me. This painting will be auctioned off at a banquet in our little town and proceeds will be donated to the Chamber of Commerce, Ladonia, TX.
The fine architecture on the outside of this church is an amazing example of the 20th century mission revival style. You can see more pictures of Heritage Hall in my blog post http://picklecreekranch.com/blog/reflection-of-tears .
When I stepped inside, I was taken aback by the beautiful craftsmanship. There are ornate ceiling tiles and stained glass with people’s names imprinted on them from days gone by. The carved wood pews are rounded to coincide with the pie shaped sanctuary which slopes towards the center, making perfect seating for those ready to hear someone speak or sing. Worship. Community. Gatherings. Song. Teaching.
Now at a critical stage in its existence, it needs someone with resources and a vision to step up and take on the task of restoring it before it is no more.
Please contact me if you are such a person/organization so I can help you move toward that vision. My mission is to help connect the right people to the right people.
