Description
I live near the North Sulphur River, a favorite place to go fossil hunting even if I don't find a fossil! It's serene and beautiful. It's a place to walk and find solitude.
It's not always easy to get into the river though as it has a 70 plus foot bank. Heavy rains cause the river to fill quickly from side to side and churn up more fossils making it popular for fossil and arrowhead hunters.
I have found many fossils dating back millions of years ago!
This beautiful scene will become a lake in the near future as it will be dammed up and become Lake Ralph Hall.
We look forward to hunting up creeks or other designated spots in the future.

Thank you to the buyer in Wylie who purchased this print on a onsie for their little one!! I suspect a future fossil hunter?? I hope so! The North Sulphur River is just up the road from us and we love to frequent it when weather permits and we don’t have too many other pans in the fire! . Whoever you are, enjoy this little print your little one and thanks so much for supporting my love of nature and art!
