Pond flowers and water plants. Acrylic on canvas.
I was going from an inspired photo of our pond but I went too far and I didn’t like the placement of the flowers so I painted over it!
Originally, I thought I’d just go all out abstract but my heart belonged to that particular scene at our big pond, being so peaceful and pretty. I wanted an abstract impressionistic feel to it with layers and texture.
I don’t typically varnish pieces but I think this one would look nice with a varnish. Whatever the case, this piece will look nice on the wall as a print whether on canvas or paper! It would also make a wonderful pillow or tote!
