Description
In north Texas, we live near the North Sulphur River. As the water drains out the channel and evaporates on a hot sunny day, algae collects in the water and on the shale making it very slippery.
So if you walk through the water on a day like that, it’s a really good Idea to take a walking stick!
This perspective was inspired by a view from the 904 bridge at the North Sulphur River, a day or two after rain as it was emptying down the channel. We were facing west and since Lake Ralph Hall is being built, this view will include a dam in the future. In the meantime we will be enjoying the river as it is.
