Thank you! Oiyee, it was a beautiful scene around the lagoon. They did an amazing job on it.

Artist's Description

This image was taken at the Chinese Lantern Festival in Dallas, Texas. It was a brisk cool night to take a walk around the lagoon at Fair Park and be mesmerized by the beautiful and crafty lanterns everywhere. More than 40 Chinese artisans spent weeks creating the lanterns and some were so large they had to be lifted to the lagoon by helicopter.

About Cheryl McClure

Cheryl McClure

Welcome to my galleries. My goal is to capture the beauty of the world around us and share it with you! Be sure and follow my most current art journey on Instagram at cherylintexas_art! Art is in my bones... and I see it in my family too. My grandmother, mom, brothers, sons and grandkids all have that artistic ingenuity. I think you can always look around and see something beautiful to behold. From a young age, I enjoyed drawing and painting so being self taught and then going a step further, I worked to receive an Associate's Degree in Art. But I really think that the artistic expression comes from within no matter how much training you have. When you look at an artists works, there always seems to be a pattern or style of some kind....
