Lesson Learned: Don’t give up!
Sometimes it’s hard to get in the groove and I fluctuated back and forth on how to handle this piece… so on my Instagram page, cherylintexas_art, showed more than my usual snapshot video which included examples of that. I was almost to the point of abandoning it but made one last ditch effort and painted as fast as I could, trying not to think too much! Singing in my head, lyrics from Phil Collins… “I don’t care anymore”.
I’m actually happy with how it turned out!
Maybe next time I’ll try to mute my colors some… but then again, maybe not!
About Cheryl McClure
Welcome to my galleries. My goal is to capture the beauty of the world around us and share it with you! Be sure and follow my most current art journey on Instagram at cherylintexas_art! Art is in my bones... and I see it in my family too. My grandmother, mom, brothers, sons and grandkids all have that artistic ingenuity. I think you can always look around and see something beautiful to behold. From a young age, I enjoyed drawing and painting so being self taught and then going a step further, I worked to receive an Associate's Degree in Art. But I really think that the artistic expression comes from within no matter how much training you have. When you look at an artists works, there always seems to be a pattern or style of some kind....
