Artist's Description
BUG TUSSLE, TEXAS. Bug Tussle is at the junction of Farm Road 1550 and State Highway 34, ten miles south of Honey Grove and five miles north of Ladonia in southeastern Fannin County. The community was initially called Truss, after John Truss, who settled there. It was founded in the 1890s and had a post office in 1893-94. Later the town's name was changed to Bug Tussle. About Cheryl McClure
Welcome to my galleries. My goal is to capture the beauty of the world around us and share it with you! Be sure and follow my most current art journey on Instagram at cherylintexas_art! Art is in my bones... and I see it in my family too. My grandmother, mom, brothers, sons and grandkids all have that artistic ingenuity. I think you can always look around and see something beautiful to behold. From a young age, I enjoyed drawing and painting so being self taught and then going a step further, I worked to receive an Associate's Degree in Art. But I really think that the artistic expression comes from within no matter how much training you have. When you look at an artists works, there always seems to be a pattern or style of some kind....
