Artist's Description
Ever since I took the picture of this raven that landed in a parking lot near us, I’ve wanted to paint it. It was in 2013 when we went on a road trip out west and saw the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Arches National Park among other things. This picture will always remind me of that awesome trip.
About Cheryl McClure
Welcome to my galleries. My goal is to capture the beauty of the world around us and share it with you! Be sure and follow my most current art journey on Instagram at cherylintexas_art! Art is in my bones... and I see it in my family too. My grandmother, mom, brothers, sons and grandkids all have that artistic ingenuity. I think you can always look around and see something beautiful to behold. From a young age, I enjoyed drawing and painting so being self taught and then going a step further, I worked to receive an Associate's Degree in Art. But I really think that the artistic expression comes from within no matter how much training you have. When you look at an artists works, there always seems to be a pattern or style of some kind....

Nice image and the orange and red really add color to this dark image. I am glad you were able to get to paint this, Cheryl. We have a "murder" of crows that love our yard and street.... all grown-up now here in the fall. Occasionally i have wished to get photos of them up to doing new stuff. F/L
