Description
Just imagine, this tooth came from a creature that swam the inland sea some 66 million years ago and ended up at the bottom of the North Sulphur River. I see the chips, cracks and lines on a tooth from this marine reptile that could have grown from 13-56 ft, ravenously tearing apart sharks or sea turtles and snacking on ammonites. More likely though, I’m guessing it was probably 20-30 ft as was the average size. Fascinating. So glad the river shared this with me!
